Utrasonic topic: "Superior Dispersions by Sonication"

High power ultrasound waves are used to disperse particles of one phase (solid) into a continuous phase of a different nature (liquid). Ultrasonic cavitation creates high shear forces, which break particles and agglomerates and distribute them as single particles into a liquid medium. Ultrasonic homogenizers are a powerful tool to create submicron- and nano-sized dispersions. Ultrasonic dispersions are used in paint and ink manufacturing, food, cosmetics and pharma production, in chemistry and many other industries.
