Hielscher - Ultrasound Technology

Wire cleaning can be improved by means of a new patented highly intensive ultrasound process. In this process very high ultrasonic power is concentrated in a small cleaning area, that surrounds the wire or tape to be cleaned. This induces a very intense field of cavitation . The sound intensity (power per volume) amounts to more than thousand times the value reached by common ultrasonic baths. The Hielscher Systems GmbH offers this procedure in form of a fully automatic unit comprising a cleaning, rinsing and drying section. These compact machines can optionally be provided with PLC-interface, text display and automatic switching between the tanks in case of 4-tank-systems (two cleaning tanks and two rinsing tanks). The 4-tank-design allows continuous 24/7 operation. The liquid circulations are equipped with heating elements, filter cartridges and oil skimmers. This increases the maintenance cycles and reduces the costs by a lower consumption of chemicals. This aspect makes these machines very ecologically benefitial. Depending on the requirements, speeds of up to 30 m/s can be reached for degreasing, removing of stearates and for pickling.
